New England AEE Annual Energy Outlook Forum – 2013

This year’s New England Association of Energy Engineers’ Annual Energy Forum will be held at the Raytheon Headquarters, at 870 Winter Street in Waltham, Massachusetts on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.  Breakfast at 7:30 am, presentations begin at 8:30 am. 

The Forum is titled “Pertinent New England Energy Issues - Energy Efficiency, Natural Gas Issues/Costs and Energy Outlook

The first Presenter will be a Representative from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources. An update on the new “Three Year Plan” regarding the funding of energy efficiency across the Commonwealth will be provided.

The second Presenter will be Mike Dirrane, Director – Northeast Marketing – Spectra Energy.  Mike will be discussing the need for new gas transmission capacity in response to the increase in Northeast shale supplies.

The third Presenter will be William Boyce, Eastern Regional Manager – Cummins Westport.  Bill will be discussing the increased use of natural gas engines and what the future holds for natural gas as a transportation fuel for Fleets.

The fourth Presenter will be Harvey Leonard, Chief Meteorologist - WCVB-TV -Boston.  Harvey will discuss the past, current and future weather trends and what we are likely to see moving forward.

David Chamberlin, Principal Energy Engineer, Raytheon will give the final presentation.  David will give us an overview of Raytheon’s Energy Journey, as well as, provide us with some tips for a successful corporate energy program. 

Additional time has been inserted for a greater amount of networking before, during, and after the Forum.  All of us at the New England Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers, as well as, all our Corporate Sponsors and Members will benefit from this forum.  We encourage all of you to reach out to your associates, customers and friends and extend an invitation to attend this most informative and valuable presentation.
