Fort Devens Tour

Join AEE New England and the staff at the Devens Enterprise Commission to take a tour of the military base and see what energy efficiency measures are being implemented by the military. Eat your lunch like a service member on active duty with MREs (Meal, Ready-to-Eat) on-site at the Base Camp Integration Lab's (BCIL) Forward Operating Base, which is a test facility for new technologies for active military bases. Embark on a guided tour of the Fort, featuring net-zero energy housing, a state-of-the-art recycling center, photovoltaic arrays, and more. All meeting attendees will be provided with the attached summary of energy conservation measures that have been implemented at Fort Devens in recent years.

Little Leaf Farms Facility Tour

Meeting attendees will be treated to a tour of the Little Leaf Farms facility located in Devens. Little Leaf Farms is proud to say that they've built the most technologically-advanced lettuce growing greenhouse in the world. The growing process is automated, and features energy efficient technology throughout the facility. Little Leaf lettuce can be found in grocery stores across New England and New York. All meeting attendees will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement before being admitted on the Facility Tour.
