April 2019 - Green House Reduction Goals and What it Means for the Energy Efficiency Industry

Ever increasing concern for climate change is shifting focus from traditional energy efficiency paths to a focus on Carbon Free cities. Carbon Free initiatives  are being launched in major cities in the US and internationally. Our very own Boston and Cambridge are already in the mix. Traditionally our AEE topics have focused on building energy which is a major focus of the Carbon Free movement. That said, Carbon Free has major implications for transportation, renewables, sources of utility grid power and the fuel mix in our regional energy supply. This will require new thinking and potentially billions of dollars of investment. Some of this requires radical approaches which naturally can be controversial. Come learn about this new topic from the one of the leaders  of the group that just released the “Carbon Free Boston” roadmap.
