October 2020 Presidents Message
Hello Energy Engineers!
We had a great VIRTUAL September meeting discussing the energy impacts of COVID building operations and opportunities to save energy. Thank you again to our presenters and attendees. Great to see and get a chance to network with our members and several new faces from around the country. For those of you who couldn’t join us we’ll have the presentations online shortly.
For October we’re looking forward to a great presentation from Ben Myers of Boston Properties (BXP). BXP is the largest publicly-traded developer, owner and manager of Class A office properties in the United States. We'll hear Ben discuss how BXP has addressed pandemic health security, reduced GHG emissions and how pandemic response measures could impact those efforts. This will a lunch time presentation to offer those with evening commitments the opportunity to join an AEE-NE meeting.
As we continue with virtual events through 2020 we’re going to continue alternating between evening and daytime meetings. Everyone’s lives and schedules are a little less predictable these days so we want to do our best to continue to serve you all. In planning out 2021 we’re asking for feedback on additional ways to reach more of our membership that may not usually attend, and to offer topics and speakers of interest that our membership wants to hear. Planning is ongoing. Please reach out soon with your input: [email protected]
