MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Select scholarships are awarded in memory of Sara Emerick, Jodi Beebe, and Arthur Orenberg. All applicants will be considered for the memorial scholarships by default.

Sara Emerick

Sara Emerick was an active member of the AEE New England community and in energy efficiency. Known and loved by many, Sara made incredible contributions to the industry and community, and sadly passed away in October of 2022. Each year, AEE New England grants a scholarship to a woman in pursuit of a degree in energy engineering who has the potential to make an impact in the community the way Sara did.

Jodi Beebe

Jodi Beebe served on the AEE New England Board of Directors for nearly a decade and made a massive impact on the chapter and community during her tenure. Jodi always contributed more than her fair share - heading out subcommittees and planning fun and engaging meetings for our members. Sadly, she passed away in May of 2023. The Jodi Beebe Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an exceptional female student pursuing a career in energy engineering.

Arthur Orenberg

ARTHUR ORENBERG Obituary (2019) - Lexington, MA - Boston Globe

Arthur Orenberg was a long time AEE New England Chapter board member, dedicating countless hours to advance the mission of the chapter and promote energy engineering across the region. Since his passing in 2019, AEE New England awards a scholarship in memory of Arthur Orenberg to the top applicant.
